Assisting living appartments
What is an assisted living residence?
Assisted living apartments are residential facilities for people over the age of 65. They are also known as 'service flats' and are required to meet certain minimum requirements as laid down by Flemish legislation. These requirements cover areas such as apartment size and layout, building accessibility, provision of common areas, residents' councils, and other amenities.
Verstraete.team has a deep understanding of the needs and requirements for assisted-living flats. We work closely with our suppliers, healthcare providers and residents to create living spaces that enable people to live independently for as long as possible.
One example of our commitment to improving the quality of life for assisted living residents is our development of HelloHelp, a communication and emergency call system built into the apartment. This system is included in the apartment purchase and can be activated by the resident at any time without any extra costs. HelloHelp is a collaboration between Televic, Z-plus, Smartwatcher and Verstraete.zorg.
